Transform your vacation into a meaningful travel experience. At Trafalgar, we are dedicated to reducing our environmental impact and giving back to the local communities that need an extra helping hand.

In conjunction with our partner One Tree Planted, we promise to plant one tree for every guest who uses our travel e-Documents. Not only does this service allow you to access your important travel information at the click of a button, but it has helped us to reforest over 220 acres of devastated land across Tanzania, Northern California and Brazil.

In recognition and support of the devastation caused by widespread bushfires, for 2020 we have chosen to undertake our tree planting in beautiful Australia.

Forget getting down and dirty. By continuing to use e-Documents, you’ll have the opportunity to change the planet for the good – without lifting a finger. Why trees, you ask? Read on to discover why we’re so passionate about this cause and learn more about our partnership with One Tree Planted.

The highly documented bushfire crisis in Australia has been one of the worst in the country’s history. The land, wildlife, people and businesses affected from this disaster has been unfathomable with nearly 6 million hectares (15 million acres) of bush devastated and over 480 million animals killed across the country, as of January 2020.

It’s with this in mind, along with One Tree Planted and the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife we are supporting the Bushfire Recovery Nurseries project to replant trees in affected locations across Australia. Locations will all have a focus on re-building habitats for affected species’ such as the black glossy cockatoo and koala.

Working with One Tree Planted we, along with you for choosing e-Documents, will be doing our part to reforest land and restore habitats in 2020 and beyond.

Why Planting Trees Helps Our Planet

It might not be easy being green, but it is important to the survival of our planet.
Before you jet off on your next global adventure, discover why planting trees will benefit every traveler.

OTP Carbon Footprint

Combats our carbon footprint

Trees reverse the damage we do with carbon emissions and reduce the effects of climate change. Through their leaves and bark, trees absorb harmful pollutants and carbon dioxide, and produce oxygen into the atmosphere.

Protects biodiversity

Deforestation of trees is hugely detrimental for biodiversity. Hundreds of species of insects, fungi, mammals and plants make trees their homes. Different animals require different habitats to live in, so by planting more trees, we are taking steps to safeguard our planet’s species.

Supports Social Impact

While the forestry industry provides a multitude of job opportunities, humans also rely on sustainable tree farming to provide wood and materials for shelter, cooking and heating.

Watch environmentalist, filmmaker and our ambassador for the TreadRight Foundation, Celine Cousteau talk about the importance of reforestation and the importance of Trafalgar’s e-Documentation program.
