We already did our survey while on our trip. We filled two different ones for the two different guides that we had. We gave high ratings on everything.
First I want to say that everything went well, the hotels, guides and many other services; all good and I’ll continue to use Trafalgar again. My issue was with the food. Beware, this trip is for meat eaters.
I thought this tour was really great. Peru was awesome and our Travel Director, Harvey, was one of the best TD’s we’ve ever had. He really gave off a vibe that it was his pleasure to make sure everyone was having a happy trip. Rodrigo was our Travel Director for the latter 2/3 of the trip (the rest of South America) and he was good too. He did what was necessary, kept us all on time, was really pleasant and fun to be around and took care of the folks who were not feeling the greatest. I would have preferred a bus rotation schedule as I found we had to go out to the bus earlier and earlier each day in order to get the front half of the bus. I really like Trafalgar’s policy on creating the bus rotation but they don’t seem to do that in S. America. Granted, it is more difficult there, as there are many different vehicle changes in the 21 days, but I found that annoying. I was also disappointed that Trafalgar canceled all the optional tours in Rio as they were maybe not 100% safe. We did them anyway and never felt unsafe at all. I do understand their hesitation and caution however. Both tour directors did a great job recommending restaurants, etc on our free time. Would definitely recommend this tour.
