An idyllic Italian retreat, bringing all your Tuscan dreams and Rome highlights to life. When you're not spending time with sisters Sandra and Antonella on their agriturismo overlooking vineyards, you'll get to delve into the life of Da Vinci and soak up the healing waters of Montecatini spa.
Ciao Roma! 'The Eternal City' opens its doors for an unforgettable At Leisure jaunt through Tuscany and two millennia of culture, history and fiery Italian verve. Spend the afternoon exploring the city before meeting your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception. Embark on an orientation drive past Rome's iconic and unexpected highlights, including views of the Colosseum and Circus Maximus, once the site of exhilarating chariot races which attracted thousands of enthusiastic spectators.
Our journey through Rome begins in the centre of Christendom, where we join a Local Specialist on an included sightseeing tour to visit St. Peter's Basilica and Michelangelo's much-admired Pietà. This afternoon, we enjoy a leisurely drive through the scenic Tuscan hills to the thermal spa resort of Montecatini, the largest and most famous spa town in Italy and your home for the next six nights.

The Rome and Tuscan Highlights will introduce you to the best that Italy's beautiful Tuscany has to offer - art, culture, shopping, food and wine! Momma mia!
Italy has always been top of my Bucket List. On a whim, I decided to book the Rome and Tuscan Highlights a week before departure. Trafalgar made sure there was a sport for me and my adventure began! From the welcome reception, to accommodations, to fun and exciting excursions, to our last night together in Rome, I felt well looked after by Lino, our Tour Director, and Carlo, our driver. This tour introduced bella Italia to me, and I am in love! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone!
I think staying in a hotel for 6 nights was great. However, the meal served for dinner at the hotel was poor. Food was tasteless. I am speaking about Hotel Columbia. The hotel room was a cement floor! Other hotels on the trip were fine.
All our hotels were clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts were Great. Every day was full on, but we saw and experienced so much. The included tuscan lifestyle day out was a highlight. THANKS SO MUCH LINO.
Our TD, Lino, was Great! So knowledgable, with a great sense of humour. He made the trip flow ,every day was well planned ,we not a moment wasted. Carlo was our driver, always polite, and we were always Safe.
