    Welcome to Calgary! Check into your hotel and explore some of what Calgary has to offer. Join your Travel Director and fellow travelling companions at 6 p.m. for a Welcome Reception at the hotel.

    Don your boots and Stetson for the world-famous Calgary Stampede, an exciting spectacle of classic rodeo events and grandstand shows. Spend the entire day at "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth." Your all-day pass includes reserved seating for the world's largest rodeo and admission to the Stampede Park, home to agricultural and livestock exhibits, live bands and an amusement park. This evening, get your adrenaline pumping at the Stampede's thrilling chuckwagon races, in which teams of horses pull traditional chuckwagons around a racetrack. Cap off the day with a bang at the Grandstand Show, a singing and dancing musical extravaganza and fireworks display.

    Head north along the stunning Icefields Parkway driving alongside snow-capped peaks, thundering waterfalls and glistening glaciers. Keep an eye out for wildlife including grizzly and black bears, moose, elk and mountain goats. Upon arrival at the Columbia Icefield, board an Ice Explorer for a unique journey onto the massive Athabasca Glacier. Stay tonight in the heart of Jasper National Park.

    Start the day with a morning at leisure, enjoying the superb vistas, strolling Jasper's quaint streets, or, if you like, take an optional float trip down the Athabasca River before an interpretive walk at Maligne Canyon, one of the most beautiful gorges in the Rockies. Learn about the underground river system while following the canyon's trail past waterfalls and jagged rock formations. Later this afternoon, cruise Maligne Lake, followed by a rustic dinner along the lake. Learn about Rocky Mountain wildlife at an interactive, after-dinner presentation by a Local Expert.

    Head south and cross the Continental Divide as you set out for Yoho National Park with its towering waterfalls, spectacular scenery and natural bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. See Emerald Lake, sparkling with the blue-green hue of a precious jewel. Ice-blue glaciers, pounding waterfalls and surging rivers abound on the way to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Banff National Park. Your day ends with a Highlight Dinner in the quintessential alpine village of Banff.

    Visit postcard-perfect Lake Louise and take a narrated stroll along the lakeshore to learn about the geology and history of the area. Continue on to stunning Moraine Lake, nestled in the dramatic Valley of the Ten Peaks. Spend the rest of the day as you like—perhaps ride on the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain to experience a bird's-eye view of six mountain ranges or a river float trip down the Bow River. Tonight, if the landscape makes you feel like singing, choose a fun outing at Banff's entertaining musical dinner.

    Today is yours to explore as you please. Browse the shops along Banff Avenue, take a hike and enjoy your spectacular setting or be wowed by aerial views of the Rockies with an optional scenic helicopter flight over Mount Assiniboine. This evening, join your newfound friends at a festive Farewell Dinner and learn about the history of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police during a "Meet a Mountie" Local Expert presentation.

This safe, comfortable ride along 10 miles (16 kilometers) of river passes through small sets of rapids and calm stretches for a ride that any first-time rafter will enjoy. Your journey will be narrated by a licensed National Park guide who will point out the natural and human history of Jasper National Park and the famous route that was used by fur traders many years ago.Tour length: 50-90 minutes depending on water levels.   • Banff Float Trip

  • Banff Gondola

    Adult Price: $45.00 At the Banff Gondola, you’ll see more mountains in a moment than most see in a lifetime! Ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain to experience a bird’s eye view of six mountain ranges of the Canadian Rockies. Begin with an eight-minute journey to the summit in a fullyenclosed four-passenger gondola cabin. The views become increasingly spectacular as you climb to an elevation of 7,486 feet ( 2,281 meters) to the Summit Upper Terminal. Witness the breathtaking views in every direction or go to the restaurant area to enjoy the views inside or from its upper deck. You can also take the Banff Skywalk for a short self-guided interpretive walkway along the summit ridge leading to the Cosmic Ray Station National Historic Site of Canada. Tour length: 2.5 hours.
