"Saw everything we wanted and more!"
Joseph , Jul 2014

After Auckland's harbor, geothermal wonders and Maori culture in Rotorua, it's on to the South Island for the TranzAlpine train, Franz Josef Glacier and a chance to cruise on Milford Sound.

It's Insider moments like… getting close-up and feeling the power of the largest active geyser in the southern hemisphere, as our local expert explains the mythology and intricate ‘plumbing system' that forces water and steam up to 30m high. Comparing local varieties of succulent fruit at Mrs Jones' Orchard – a roadside stall complete with beautifully tended English garden. Dining Maori-style in ancient forest at the Tamaki Village, helping raise the traditional ‘Hangi' basket from the earth oven amid mouthwatering smells.
