It is one of the world’s most photographed events, and for good reason. Every October for over four decades, the Albuquerque Balloon Festival<\/a> has painted the New Mexico landscape a myriad of colours and shapes, and this year is no exception.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Photographers, hot air balloon enthusiasts and those with an appreciation for the spectacular all gather in the brisk autumn air to enjoy the otherworldly beauty of the main event – the Mass Ascension. Here, over 500 hot air balloons ascend almost simultaneously, whilst thousands gather to cheer on the pilots.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Taking place this year from October 5th – 13th, these are some of our favourite snaps from this year’s festival\u2026<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
