In German, the word for tap water is <em>Leitungswasser<\/em>. The rather unfortunate translation is plumbing water. The thought of sewer water is likely not what you&#8217;d want to quench your thirst. While the water is indeed safe to drink, don&#8217;t alarm the locals. Watch where you walk, cycle and drive.
