Here, guests have the opportunity to meet the \u00d8vre-Eide family, swap stories, meet the animals of the farm, and of course are also treated to a delicious, home cooked traditional Norwegian meal.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Whilst we are unable to visit Arild and his family for the next little while, we can still recreate a little taste of his culture in our own homes. The apple trees bloom in May\/June, and the sight is beautiful.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What ingredients do you need to cook this recipe?<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Puff pastry<\/li>\r\n<li>Custard cream<\/li>\r\n<li>Raisins<\/li>\r\n<li>Hazelnuts<\/li>\r\n<li>Sugar<\/li>\r\n<li>Cinnamon<\/li>\r\n<li>Icing sugar<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are the instructions for cooking this recipe?<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Make puff pastry from scratch or buy ready-made in the shop<\/li>\r\n<li>Roll the pastry to 3mm<\/li>\r\n<li>Cover the cake pans (each pan is 7cm) with the pastry<\/li>\r\n<li>Make small holes in the bottom of the pastries with a fork, to stop them from rising too much when baking<\/li>\r\n<li>Place one tbsp of custard cream in each pan<\/li>\r\n<li>Add some raisins and hazelnut flakes<\/li>\r\n<li>Peel the apples, cut them into slices and place them in the pans<\/li>\r\n<li>Sprinkle a little sugar and cinnamon on the apples<\/li>\r\n<li>Place the pans in the middle of an oven preheated to 240\u00b0C. 10. Reduce the heat to 225 \u00b0C<\/li>\r\n<li>Bake in the oven for 8 minutes<\/li>\r\n<li>Let the cakes cool on an oven rack<\/li>\r\n<li>Serve with a light sprinkle of icing sugar<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why do you love welcoming Trafalgar guests to your home?<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>It is a pleasure to show guests from around the world how we live in Norway, and especially give them a little taste of the agricultural lifestyle here at \u00d8vre-Eide Farm. The guests who visit us are genuinely interested in how we live, and I love being able to provide them with good memories of Norway in the form of food, facts and good conversations.
