\n<\/b>Spring in Europe is brimming with opportunities to immerse yourself in local life. Most Europeans are home during spring and enjoying their cities and towns without a stream of tourists, so don’t avoid those busy pubs, bistros and cafes; it’s likely they’ll be filled with locals.<\/p>\n

Don’t forget your hat and scarf
\n<\/b>A hat is essential for winter travel to Europe. When it’s really cold, it’s all about keeping your precious body heat from escaping, and the secret is covering your head. Thankfully, the sky’s the limit when it comes to chic European headwear!\u00a0 Easily slipped into a day bag, a scarf keeps your neck toasty, doubles as a blanket or shawl and is perfect for adding a pop of colour to your outfit, just as the stylish locals do. You’ll find a huge variety at shops and markets all over Europe.<\/p>\n

\n<\/b>A bag with a strap across the body or a small backpack is not only great for travel; it allows you to burry your hands in your pockets or warm them on a cup of mulled wine as you stroll along Paris’ Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

\n<\/b>Speaking of mulled wine, a hot drink might be just what you need to warm up on a sightseeing tour or excursion outdoors. Keep some change handy to grab a hot chocolate, tea or cappuccino when you’re out and about for a warming energy boost.<\/p>\n

Protect your skin
\n<\/b>The wind, rain, sun and snow can all take their toll. To help protect your skin from Europe’s winter weather, moisturise your face and body to prevent dryness and flaking, use a lip balm to avoid pesky chapped lips from the wind and don’t forget the sunscreen!\u00a0 A tub of Vaseline or pawpaw cream will go a long way in treating dry, sore or chapped skin.<\/p>\n
