Situated in beautiful open spaces, you could easily spend the whole day wandering around the museums and taking in the great sights, parks and restaurants that South Kensington has to offer. Another great thing is that the museums are all within easy walking distance, so there is no rushing from one to the other on tubes or buses. Take a look at some of the highlights of each museum:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Natural History Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is in one of London&#8217;s most beautiful buildings. The museum has been around since the 1800&#8217;s and houses some the oldest artefacts in the world, including fossils of the earliest dinosaurs \u2013 one of the museums most popular exhibits. There are various zones so there&#8217;s something for everyone and it hosts various special exhibitions throughout the year.\u00a0 Some of the exhibits at the museum are interactive, and are a great way of getting hands on with history itself.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3349\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3349\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.trafalgar.com\/real-word\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/2015\/06\/natural-history-2.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3349 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.trafalgar.com\/real-word\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/2015\/06\/natural-history-2.jpg\" alt=\"Natural History 2\" width=\"500\" height=\"322\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3349\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Natural History Museum<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>The V&amp;A Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The V&amp;A or the Victoria and Albert Museum is the world&#8217;s leading art and design museum representing over 3,000 years of creativity. The collections of the Medieval Renaissance gallery and the stunning British galleries show you the history of Britain though art and design. The V&amp;A museum has recently undergone restoration, creating several new galleries by leading designers. This is one of London&#8217;s most visited tourist attractions, with 3.3 million visitors annually. From the big bang to the furthest reaches of space, the Science Museum is fun, interactive and very thought-provoking. Here, you can experience what it feels like to fly with the Red Arrows or on an Apollo space exploration mission.
