This historic site comprises two massive rock-cut temples in the village of Abu Simbel, Aswan Governorate upper Egypt. Both were built by the great Pharoah Ramses the second and are dedicated to the gods Amun, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah, as well as to the deified Ramesses and his wife Nefertari. This special spot is considered the grandest and most beautiful of the temples.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Valley of the Kings is famous for its beautifully painted royal tombs and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Over a period of nearly 500 years, from the 16th to the 11th Century BC, rock-cut tombs were excavated for the Pharaohs and powerful nobles of the new Kingdom. These ornate and secretive burial chambers are a great curiosity to explore on our tours.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This museum in Cairo is the oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East, housing over 100,000 artifacts. It has the largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities in the world. He says modern Egyptians have a wonderful mentality that embraces new ideas and innovations and they have a liberal attitude making them friendly and welcoming towards foreigners and tourists.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cIn Egypt, besides its marvelous attractions and cultural ambience, the smiling faces of the Egyptians are an added charm. Egyptians are quite adjustable in nature and they love to help people. If you ask them any question, they will answer it happily.

\u201cWhenever you will ask something to an Egyptian, they will call other people to discuss the question and will try their best to offer you the correct answer.\u201d \u2013 Hazem<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Hazem says that family relationships and family values are very important. The head of the family is responsible for the behaviour and manners of the entire family and for maintaining the integrity of their name.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

One thing Trafalgar guests might struggle to adapt to is the traffic in Cairo. Travel Director Hazem says it is extremely congested, so it takes time to get used to how people drive and how pedestrians cross the streets in Cairo.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
