Its imposing neo-Norman towers and lavish interiors perfectly capture the wealth and ambition of the time. Built in 1840 for the wealthy Pennant family, Penrhyn\u2019s opulence mirrors the Guinness dynasty\u2019s rise. It is now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationaltrust.org.uk\/visit\/wales\/penrhyn-castle-and-garden\/penrhyn-castle-house-of-guiness-netflix\">run by the National Trust<\/a>. Like Ashford, the lavish property was built to appear older than it is.
