Meet Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland is a country of both pretty villages including Derrygonnelly, with its beautiful views of Lough Erne and the Atlantic Ocean. And cosmopolitan cities like the capital, Belfast, with its twinkling waterfront, Victorian architecture and thriving arts scene. Rapid regeneration has given the capital an array of restaurants, bars and shops. These sit alongside grander buildings like the white stone Neoclassical City Hall and St Anne’s Cathedral, which took more than 80 years to complete. Visit the Ulster Museum where exhibitions range from modern art to natural history. Wander in the Botanic Gardens public park containing two glasshouses of exotic plants. And climb Cave Hill for panoramic views of the city. As you'll discover, the people of Northern Ireland are renowned for their affable nature and self-deprecating but quick-witted sense of humour.

County Donegal

As part of the Border Region, County Donegal straddles two nations - a quirk which has prompted the county to promote itself with the legend, "Up here it's different!" You’ll have the opportunity to find out why as you pass through the region. Admire the beautiful countryside and tidy villages, where the gentle pace of life is palpable.

Belleek

The village of Belleek is set on the banks of Lough Erne in County Fermanagh. Here you will find the Belleek Pottery Centre, which has created china and porcelain for nearly 160 years. Characterised by the delicacy of their construction, the pieces fashioned here are made using traditional methods passed down over several generations. Admire the products and learn more about the artistry that goes into their creation at the on-site museum.
