1. Arrive Phoenix – Scottsdale

Howdy partners. Check into your hotel and spend the afternoon getting to know this desert oasis. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the hotel's pool before gussying up for the 6 p.m. Kick-off Party where you meet your Travel Director and spend some time jawin' with your travelling buddies.

2. Scottsdale – Sedona – Williams

A drive through the Sonoran Desert brings you to Montezuma Castle National Monument, one of the best preserved cliff dwellings in North America. Take a minute to ponder the Sinagua Indians' life here in the desert before heading to Sedona in spectacular Red Rock Country. Today your choice sightseeing allows you to join in on an adventure with an included jeep ride to get a front row view of the area's famous red rocks or join a Red Rock Magic Trolley tour that will show you the sites and tell you the local stories. After a stunning drive through Oak Creek Canyon, arrive in the historic railroad town of Williams. This evening, join your fellow cowboys and cowgirls for a Be My Guest dinner where the adults can sample a delicious variety of Arizona wine or craft beer with their meal. The kids won't be left out of the fun as they enjoy a pizza bar and games galore.

3. Williams – Grand Canyon Railway – Grand Canyon National Park

This morning, watch out for the infamous Cataract Creek Gang, as lowly a group of varmints that ever rode the range. Then, climb aboard the historic Grand Canyon Railway; pass through majestic Ponderosa Pines, the high desert and the Kaibab National Forest while hearing tall tales and folklore about the area. Keep your eyes open for wildlife, as it's not uncommon to spot elk, mule deer and pronghorn antelope sauntering through this wild, woolly region. Nothing can prepare you for the Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. With a Local Specialist learn how the Grand Canyon was created and examine rock samples from the colourful sedimentary layers formed as the sea washed in again and again. Join your Travel Director for an unforgettable walk along the rim.

4. Grand Canyon National Park – Monument Valley – Lake Powell (2 Nights)

Float Trip Down The Colorado River

Today’s journey, a smooth water float trip will encompass 15 spectacular miles of Colorado River between Glen Canyon Dam and historic Lees Ferry, gateway to the Grand Canyon. Begin with an exciting ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. With the dam soaring 583 feet above you, you will board a motorized pontoon raft for your journey downstream, where you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river found in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the area’s story of soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, native cultures, Major John Wesley Powell’s exploration, and the river’s modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system. You’ll also stop to view ancient petroglyphs left by Ancestral Puebloan peoples. (Includes $6 National Park Fee). Approx. tour length: 3.5 hours (Minimum: 6 passengers).

Antelope Canyon Cruise

With a shoreline longer than the entire west coast of the United States, Lake Powell is the second largest man-made lake in the country and one of the top destinationsfor sightseeing cruises. Be sure to bring your camera on this scenic 90-minute cruise through the lower portion of Antelope Canyon. View the sandy beaches, sapphire blue water and incredible red rock scenery. Learn about the famous slot canyons, sculpted cracks in the sandstone that are often less than 10 feet wide but can be several hundred feet deep. A photo stop will also be made at the crest of the Glen Canyon Dam, more than 600 feet above the Colorado River. Tour length: 1.5 hours. (Minimum: 20 passengers).

6. Lake Powell – Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks (2 Nights)

You'll be awestruck by the towering cliffs and massive canyon walls of Zion Canyon. Riding the park's shuttle, marvel at how the Virgin River cut through the sandstone to create one of Mother Nature's most stupendous wonders. If you enjoy hiking, there's an easy trek to the Emerald Pools, where splendid views and waterfalls will make the family happier than a crowd of cowpokes at chow time. Leaving Zion, drive along the Mount Carmel Highway and watch out for more spectacular formations like the Great Arch of Zion and the distinctive Checkerboard Mesa. Arrive at magical Bryce Canyon for the last two nights of your Western adventure.

7. Bryce Canyon National Park Sightseeing and Free Time

Exploring Bryce Canyon is like entering a weird and eerie world, with sandstone spires called hoodoos creating a landscape that is a playground for the imagination. Explore the rim of a great amphitheatre, stopping at various lookouts to snap pictures of fairytale castles, cathedrals, meandering trails and secret hideaways, all carved out of stone by Mother Nature. This afternoon you're free to blaze your own trail. Later, put on your cowboy boots and Stetsons for a Western Farewell Dinner filled with good food and good fun.

8. Bryce National Park – Depart Las Vegas
