Italian dining experiences: Adventures in pasta

Recently updated on July 13th, 2023 at 07:32 am

So why are Italian dining experiences some of the best in the world? Well the secret is quite simple. Take a handful of quality, fresh, local ingredients, mix in one or two uncomplicated flavours, then enjoy with a generous serving of wine and a sprinkling of good company. Here are a few of our favourite Italian dining experiences…

Experience Italian hospitality in Limonaia

You can experience the very best of Italian dining on our Italy Bellissimo trip. You’ll join the Callistri family at their borgo in the Hamlet of Limonaia for a delicious Italian ‘Be My Guest’ meal, olive oil tasting and leisurely walk through their olive groves and lemon orchards.

Enjoy a pasta making class with chef Libero

One of our favourite Italian dining experiences is a pasta making class in Tuscany, with charismatic chef Libero. You’ll learn to make penne all’arrabiata. After which, you’ll visit the region’s ancient castles and sample the local wine. What a perfect way to end a pasta makig day!

An unforgettable Italian dining experience with Giada Landi

Giada Landi’s four-course dinner at Villa il Leccio is one of the best Italian dining experiences. Her menu is based around the produce grown in the villa’s garden, varying according on the season. The two main courses are Giada’s real showstoppers. Giada makes her own fresh pasta from scratch, cooking it in a delicious sauce made with pork, beef and wild boar. She follows this with chicken cooked in her own Chianti wine, even the herbs Giada cooks with are grown just outside her kitchen door.  You can meet meet Giada and her family on our Italian Holiday, Italian Discovery and European Whirl trips.
