Ever heard of travelling cats? That’s right – there’s a whole world out there and cats want to explore it too. Hop on Instagram and you’ll see a bunch of kitties venturing into the great outdoors with their humans to go camping, kayaking, surfing and hiking through meowtains. These fearless felines have the spirit of adventure running through their veins, so amp up the wanderlust and start living vicariously through the lives of some of the world’s coolest travelling cats on Instagram.

The unofficial queen of travel cats, Suki is only three years old but has already travelled to over a dozen countries! This beautiful Bengal cat lives in Alberta, Canada, and travels the world with her pet human Marti Gutfreund.
They can usually be found exploring the stunning mountains, lakes and forests of Canada, but you can also catch them in the foothills of the Swiss Alps, the castles of Germany, the cenotes of Mexico and the national parks of the USA. The only real difference between Suki and other travel Instagrammers is that Suki is a cat!

These two adventurous brothers were rescued by two adventurous women. They found the kittens abandoned in a park right before they were about to start a mountain trek and so they took them along for the ride… and haven’t stopped exploring ever since.
These adorable cats love to hike, camp, paddle and snowshoe their way through the mountains, forests and rivers of Canada, and you can often catch them sitting on the bow of a canoe, walking a snowy trail, or perched on their human’s shoulder. They’ve even got a book that tells you all about how to travel with a cat and we’re already dreaming about our own furry travel companion.

A surfing, swimming, sunglasses-wearing cat, Nathan is a rescue cat that loves to spend her days splashing around in the sea and lazing on the sandy beaches of sunny Queensland in Australia. While most cats seem to freak out at the thought of having a bath, Nathan can’t get enough of it. She’s often joined on her watery adventures by her furry pal, Winnie the beach cat.

Burma is a self-described ‘brown cat living a life of adventure’ and he definitely has a life that any human – or thrill-seeker – would envy. His ‘sherpa’ Stephen Simmons loves to take him on his mountain explorations and they’re usually joined on their hiking trips by Stephen’s dog, Puppi.
While they can usually be found in Oregon, they’ve also scaled many of North America’s most famous mountains, from the Grand Tetons to the Ruby Mountains. Go Burma!

This majestic feline certainly lives up to his name, with long flowing grey hair and a nose for adventure. A self-described ‘fuzz ball on a nature quest’, we’re not sure if he’s looking for The One Ring or just a good view, but this travel cat has already been to two countries. He also loves camping, bird watching and playing fetch… what can’t Gandalf do!

When rescue cat Willow’s pet human Rich decided to quit his job and sell his house to travel around Australia in a campervan, she was more than happy to come along for the ride! The pair have been living the sweet van life since 2015 and since then, have covered more than 39,000 kilometres as they drive and camp across Australia. Can you think of a cooler cat?

Who knew cats love weekends away too? Eevee certainly does and as a travelling cat of Instagram, she loves taking off with her human Emily around the forests and trails of Georgia, USA. With 26 countries and 4 continents under his belt, Cezar may just be the most travelled cat in the world! He gets around the globe by car, boat, bike and aeroplane with his ‘hooman’ and together they love to explore the great open road.
He rocks fluffy white fur, odd-coloured eyes and is also fairly giant (check out his pictures with humans for scale), and we think it all just makes him that much more adorable!
