How would you like to see Europe in 2014?

Recently updated on January 17th, 2020 at 09:46 pm

Whenever we travel the world, we meet new people and experience cultures that change our lives and broaden our minds. And the real beauty is that wherever we go, no one single journey will ever be the same – because everyone travels differently.

Our guided holidays come in all shapes and sizes. Here’s a selection of our Europe itineraries for 2014 to show you that however you like to see the world, there’s a Trafalgar trip for you.

Our Discovery trips are fully-guided holidays that cover more of a continent. On our Delights of London and Paris trip, you’ll get an insider’s perspective on some of the world’s most recognised icons, including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe. We’ll also take you to visit historic sites like Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, Louis XIV’s Palace of Versailles, and the vast monoliths at Stonehenge.

Our Regional vacations take you deep into the area you’re visiting. In Northern Spain, we stop off to sample a local drop at a typical bodega as we pass through its wine-growing regions. You’ll spend the evening slumbering in a Renaissance palace where Napoleon’s troops once rested. When we reach Oviedo, you’ll be handed a chilled glass of this region’s famous cider to try, before sitting down to enjoy an Asturian feast at the home of one of our local friends.

Take it slow and delve deeper into your destination on one of our At Leisure holidays. Spend time exploring the sights of Europe’s iconic cities at your own pace, like the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Vatican in Rome, on Wonders of Europe. We’ve also lined up plenty of special insider moments, including dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant in the medieval city of Beaune in Burgundy, and a visit to Giudecca Island in Venice to watch skilled glassblowers create colourful pieces of art.

Our City Breaks are independent but easy – with our added insider knowledge. On the first day of London Week, a local gives you the inside story to help you find your path around the city – as well as underground tickets and ‘hop on, hop off’ bus passes – so you can uncover the unexpected on your own.

Our Family Experiences holidays mix education and entertainment for all ages. On the Spanish Salsa trip, stir a pan of steaming paella as a Valencian chef shows you how it’s cooked, while the kids get to throw in fresh local ingredients. Then sit down as a family to enjoy the fruits of your labour. In Seville, learn to dance the flamenco together as you pick up the moves from a local teacher. It’s all about sharing quality moments with your loved ones.
