How did you fall in love with photography?

“It began in 2011, when I started to do it as a hobby. I think it’s a good thing because we can bring very different subjects or aspects of the same thing into focus in each image.”

What’s your favourite country to photograph and why?

“Indonesia because there’s a lot of art and tradition there. It’s also full of the most vibrant colours – filters are rarely needed!”

Are there any themes that keep popping up in your photography?

“Not really. I just shoot what I like.”

Do you have any favourite bits of gear or technological flourishes that help you to capture the shot you want?

“Yes, a digital camera is always a good thing. You can shoot any picture with no concerns about the film. Although, I also like the tones that film cameras offer.”

What does your favourite photo focus on?

“It covers people – their feelings, attitudes and actions. Human activities have always intrigued me.”
