Best of India – Ed & Miriam
Our Travel Director Ed Dischler, who is based in the UK & Ireland, says he would be most interested in Trafalgar’s Best of India trip. “I’ve never been and I’m intrigued,” he says. “Although I’m quite an independent traveller, I think having things organised in a place like India would be rather reassuring.”
This 11-day trip takes you from Delhi to sacred Varanasi, connecting you with the Ganges, the colors of Jaipur, and the rugged wilderness of Ranthambore. You’ll watch the sunset at the Taj Mahal, go searching for tigers in the former hunting ground of the Maharaja of Jaipur, and experience local traditions on banks of the Ganges.
Travel Director Miriam, who is based in Scandinavia agrees about India being one of her dream tours. But she would extend the Black Friday sale trip to 19 days with Kerala and Nepal extensions. “It’s a part of the world I’ve never been to, but am curious about. I’d like to experience the incredible history, the culture, the Himalayas and the incredible food!”
Best of Norway – Erica
“Best of Norway would be near the top of my list of dream tours,” says Erica, a Travel Director based in the United States. “I am of Nordic descent and I have visited many of the other Nordic countries but not that one yet.
“The stunning fjords, colorful historic villages, simplicity of the cuisine, wooden churches, rich history, the friendly people, clean and crisp air, and high-quality offerings would be a definite draw for me!”
Norway’s fjords are one of nature’s greatest feats. Carved by glaciers over millennia, the towering cliffs, deep blue waters, and cascading waterfalls feel both timeless and tranquil. It’s a landscape that evokes a feeling of power and awe unlike anywhere else on Earth.
You’ll experience Norway’s magnificent fjords on the 9-day Best of Norway trip. It takes you to the capital of Oslo and historic Bergen between brushes with nature and tales of Vikings.

Highlights of Spain and Portugal – Stephanie
“Ever since I read Don Quixote while in high school – as part of the Spanish course curriculum – I wanted to visit and see that ‘path’. Covid upended that dream, but it’s still a bucket list dream for me!” says Travel Director Stephanie, who is based in the United States.
This 13-day round trip starts and ends in Madrid, the Spanish capital. You’ll skip across southern Spain, from Valencia to Granada to Seville, soaking up coastal scenery and beaches along the way. Then head into Portugal where you’ll unearth history in Evora and meet the locals with lunch at a stud farm, then visit the colorful Portuguese capital of Lisbon.
Jordan Experience – Todd
“When it comes to dream tours, Jordan Experience is up there without a doubt,” says US-based Travel Director Todd Geist. “I’ve wanted to see Petra since I was a kid watching Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and it helped spark my interest in history and archeology.
“Also it’s one of the itineraries on the Black Friday sale list that goes to a country I haven’t been to.”
If you want to follow in the footsteps of Indiana Jones (or potentially Todd!) then the 6-day Jordan Experience is for you too. In less than a week you’ll experience the ‘Rose City’ of Petra, and connect with Jordanian culture. You’ll join a Bedouin tribe for dinner, and go star gazing in the Wadi Rum desert.
South America Revealed – Maria
South America Revealed was Italian Travel Director Maria’s pick from our Black Friday sale. “It would be a magical, dramatic vacation with so much diversity of landscapes, climatic zones, different people, cultures, all with a vibrancy that is difficult to find on another continent,” she says.
This epic 16-day tour traverses the best of South America, traveling across Argentina, Brazil and Peru. You’ll encounter the famous Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, and discover the Inca culture in Peru. Visit lush national parks, tour buzzing cities, and learn to mix famous local cocktails, like the caipirinha and pisco sour.

Best of South Africa – Ijla
“The Best of South Africa for me please! I am fascinated by the cultural richness of the country and the world-class wildlife,” says Travel Director Ijla, who is based in BeNeLux. “Furthermore I love beaches, forests, mountains and deserts and South Africa offers it all in one country.”
This 15-day tour truly explores the best of South Africa, traveling from north to south. It ticks off the top experiences and sights along the way. Starting in Johannesburg, you’ll venture to South Africa’s oldest and most iconic national park. Join a safari in the famous Kruger National Park, then see the tiny landlocked country of Eswatini.
Visit the Drakensberg Mountains, and explore the beaches of the Eastern Cape. Enter Tsitsikamma National Park and Knysna, and end in Cape Town. You’ll drive the famous Garden Route and go tasting in the Cape Winelands en route to Cape Town.
