“Life on the road is amazing, I love it. We get to see so many beautiful places, especially up where I work, in Scandinavia. There is scenery up there that you can’t compare to anywhere else in the world. When i work, I sit in the front seat and look out on the scenery every day, and that’s my office. There’s no better office in the world, I love that.” Lasse, Europe
It’s making new friends every trip
“I am one of fourteen children and when I am on tour it is like being away with my family, love day one of our trip and by the end of the trip we really do become family! That is the most precious gift of travel. I love sharing my country with guests, from our indigenous people to our convict heritage. More importantly what makes down under-thunder.” Nellie, Australia
“My favourite part of my job is that I get to help other people. I love travelling and exploring new places, new cultures, new foods, new languages, and in my job I get to be the instrument to help other people have those discoveries” Christie, USA
It’s bringing places to life for Trafalgar guests
“My favourite thing about being a Travel Director is getting to bring the stories to life. You can go to a destination and you can have amazing stories, but if you don’t have that person to help connect with that story and bring it to life, then you’re not really getting what that place is about. I feel an honour to share and bring these places to life.” Tiffany, USA
“What I love most about my job is sharing the essence of the culture and history of my motherland with friends from all over the world.” Hubert, China
It’s witnessing the emotional connections to places
“I’ve had guests go to castles or towns that their ancestors were from, that had never been there before but had heard about when growing up. They get very emotional and they have this reaction that is why I like to do this job.” Aryan, Europe
“To actually see people go through this emotional experience with tears and wanting to give you a hug, because it’s something that they waited their whole life for. You get these moments that happen multiple times… it’s a feel good job. I don’t even really look at it like it’s a job, it’s more of a lifestyle.” Monty, USA
It’s opening people’s eyes to new experiences
“One of the best experiences for me as a Travel Director is seeing the reaction of younger guests on board. Seeing their eyes being opened up to the wonderment of the world and knowing this is the start of their travel adventures is always pretty memorable.” Dean, Europe

“What I love most about the job is making people happy. I love opening people’s eyes to places and experiences that they have yearned to visit most of their lives, and taking them out of their comfort zone to fulfill their dreams. It is a privilege to be able to do this.” Amanda, Europe
