A tram in Lisbon

MOSTLY As: France, Spain, Portugal, Morocco

Bright, cheery and always up for a good time, your personality is as warm as the steamy streets of Spain. If you’re not sipping sangria in Seville, head straight for the lively streets of Lisbon in Portugal, where the barrios don’t come alive until well into the night. In need of a ‘holiday outfit’? The boutique-lined boulevards of France will satisfy your shopping fix. Or if you’d rather splurge on Moroccan leather than Louboutin, dive headfirst into the rousing markets of Marrakech.
Suggested trip:
Spain, Portugal and Morocco

A European cityscape

MOSTLY Bs: Great Britain & Ireland

Forget battling your way to the front of the ice-cream stand. The idea of sweltering on a crowded beach is your idea of a nightmare. Instead, you’d much prefer to cosy up in front of a roaring fire – book in one hand and Hot Toddy in the other – listening to the rain hit the thatched roof of your old English cottage. Admire the rolling green hills of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales and learn of tales featuring poets, writers and history that can’t be matched.
Suggested trip: Wonders of Britain and Ireland

A couple overlooking a fjord in Norway

MOSTLY Cs: Central, Eastern & Northern Europe (including Russia & Scandinavia)

Imperial cities, remarkable natural beauty and a treasure trove of Soviet history await you on your next trip to central, eastern and northern Europe. Unperturbed by heading ‘off the beaten track’, you’re always up for adventure and have the highest mountain in your sights. You get your kicks from nature, so it’s no surprise the hulking fjords of Norway and snowy slopes of Switzerland are on your bucket list. If cold isn’t necessarily your thing, don your hiking shoes for a trip to Plitvice Lakes in Croatia, where the temperatures are generally milder.
Suggested trip: Scenic Scandinavia and its Fjords

A picturesque coastline in Greece

MOSTLY Ds: Eastern Mediterranean (including Greece, Israel, Jordan & Turkey)

A true sun seeker, you plan your getaways around the ocean and find the smell of exotic spices to be the true sign of a cultural escape. You might thrive in the local markets, but you thrive on the beach even more (just). Your friends refer to you as a ‘lounge lizard’ but you know you’re not lazy– you’d just prefer to top up your tan than hit the hotel gym. When you’re not chasing sea turtles in the waters of Greece, you’re quite happy to delve into your own cultural pursuits – getting lost in Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar or channelling Indiana Jones at Petra in Jordan.
Suggested trip: Best of Turkey

A view of the river in Florence, Italy

MOSTLY Es: Italy

You have two major loves in life: food and fashion. What better place to indulge your passions than Italy? You might wear stretchy trousers to accommodate the grand Italian feasts, but you can be sure those trousers are Armani. Venture to the Amalfi Coast or Cinque Terre for a taste of la dolce vita by the seaside. Or for a true, local Italian experience, head to the farmer’s markets in Florence to feed your soul (and appetite). Art lovers, rejoice in Rome. Fashionistas, mosey to Milan. And to top it all off, crack open a Chianti while waving to Clooney from the waters of Lake Como. Bellissimo!
Suggested trip: Best of Italy
