Day 2
Discover Majestic Victoria Falls
Join a Local Specialist on a guided tour of the world's largest waterfall. Admire the powerful curtain of water from various vantage points in Zimbabwe – feel the fine spray and hear the thunderous roar as water crashes over a hundred metres into a swirling mass in the gorge below. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure with the sound of the 'Smoke that Thunders' never far from your ears. Tonight you may choose to join an Optional Experience Boma dinner and interactive drum show.
This unique dining experience, coupled with a feast of cultural entertainment, is a magical night out to remember. Shangaan and Ndebele dancers and singers will inspire you with their pulsating energy, and we’ll soon have to hold you back from the dance floor! You’ll also be tucking into traditional Zimbabwean delicacies for dinner...and for the bravehearts among us, we’ve a few lightly grilled Mopani worms. Yes, it’s a night you won’t forget. Please note drinks are not included within the optional pricing and drinks tabs should be settled directly with the venue.

'Flight of Angels' 13 Minutes Helicopter Flight
Feel the freedom. And you certainly will, on a 13 minute helicopter flight over Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River. The helicopter has the ability to fly lower than a fixed wing aircraft, so you'll have unrivalled opportunities to view the breath-taking Falls and get those perfect pictures. Your flight path takes you over the seemingly tranquil Zambezi River, and on a journey of discovery along the gorges which zigzag their way to the infamous Batoka Gorge downstream. It's a unique perspective on the Falls, and gives you the perfect overview of the size and magnitude of this astounding Natural Wonder of the World. Please Note: Our pricing for this activity does NOT include the $15 per person park fee that is payable directly to the operator.

Day 3
Explore Botswana's Chobe National Park
Cross the Botswana border for a day-trip into Chobe National Park, where large herds of African elephant roam. Board your Chobe River cruise, watching herds of elephant and buffalo come to the edge of the river to drink. See the flash of a kingfisher hovering over the water to catch its next meal, then enjoy an included lunch at Chobe Safari Lodge on the banks of the mighty Chobe River. Later return to Victoria Falls Safari Lodge for your last night in Zimbabwe.
We bid farewell to the 'Smoke that Thunders' and return to Zimbabwe's Victoria Falls Airport for your onward journey. Find out more about your free airport transfer at trafalgar.com/freetransfers.

I felt quite special with the attention given while staying at the River Club. The Safaris were good. The Victoria Falls was pretty hot as we were walking at 11am
I realize the reason but so many handovers to different guides/drivers in one day. Whilst good, the safari and boat cruise guides in Botswana were very quiet and less informative than previous guides we have had.
Trafalgar website was a bit hit and miss prior to trip.Trouble getting in several times and with entering details..Could have maybe had a chat line with your own group prior to trip. Wonderful guide and driver in Capetown. Could have had greet and meet information available from Trafalgar on arrival to hotel. 15 on orange hotel, staff and food was amazing.
A different Trafalgar experience! Once in a life time.

We absolutely loved our time at the River Club. However, we understand the reasoning behind leaving Zambia in 2020. Chobe National Park was amazing. This was a great way to end our African trip.
Wow! Our experience through Kenya and Tanzania was a once-in-a-life time amazing journey. We were a group of 12 traveling in two land cruisers. We especially loved our stay at the Thorn Tree tent camp out in the bush. The roads were bumpy, but well worth the sights in the reserves and National Parks. Our guides provided us with wonderful photo and viewing opportunities. This isn’t a normal Trafalgar trip so prepare yourself for a unique experience of sleeping in comfortable Tents (with bathrooms) and early morning viewings. It’s dusty and bumpy! You will spend 11days (4 -6 hrs daily) in the bush searching for those elusive wildlife pictures. The cultural experiences helps to bring you closer to the country and the people. Place this at the top of your list!
The Chobe river cruise was a disappointment. I’m glad I was able to book other activities. For some reason we were only able to see one side of the falls. I thought we should have been able to see both sides. It wasn’t that much longer.
Complimentary transfers are available on the first and last day of the trip from/to Zimbabwe's Victoria Falls airport only (and not Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport in Livingstone, Zambia).

What is an Active Trip? This is an "Active" lifestyle itinerary, with walks and hikes most days. Hikes will range from easy/moderate to strenuous. No technical climbing skills are required but a reasonable level of fitness is required to make the trip more enjoyable. Understanding that not all people want to hike at the same pace or even on the same trail we will, where possible, host map orientation and then let everyone disperse to enjoy the trails best suited to them.
What to Pack Guests should bring lightweight hiking shoes or boots, broad brimmed sun hats, sunglasses, layered clothing, reusable water bottle(s), a hiking day pack and hiking poles (optional)
Weather & Altitude While the itinerary is laid out below, we are at the mercy of the weather and so reserve the right to adjust the program as necessary. Please keep in mind that the higher elevations and possible variations in weather and temperature can increase the perceived level of difficulty of our activities. Elevation ranges up to 9,000 feet for Utah’s Mighty Five and up to 11,000 feet for California High Country Adventure.
Everyone reacts differently to altitude and so if you do have any health issues you should check with your doctor that this trip is suitable for you.
