We developed our 4-point Climate Action Plan in 2021 to outline how we will take climate action and reduce our emissions. It commits us to Measure, Reduce, Restore and Evolve by prioritising the decarbonisation of our business and trips and supporting innovative projects that focus on nature-based carbon solutions and promote biodiversity.
We know that to take action on climate change, you need a clear direction, which is why we're the first global tour operator with near-term, long-term, and net zero targets validated by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi). Through these climate action goals, we're playing our part in the global mission to keep warming below 1.5° C by mid-century.

In alignment with our goal to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050….
We recently discovered that the branded merchandise we give away produces 6.5 million car-driven miles worth of preventable carbon emissions every year. With a mission to ensure our impact on this earth is a positive one and a goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, we knew we had to make a change. From December 2023, we will be putting a stop to the purchase of any branded merchandise we would have given away and in 2024 will begin reallocating those funds toward projects that help fight climate change. Through donations to Project GreenWave and the Daintree Rainforest Rescue Project we’ll be removing an additional 1.5 million car-driven miles of equivalent carbon emissions by December 2024, supporting the planet to naturally soak up carbon and keep warming below 1.5° C by mid-century.
