Rhine River cruises FAQs

Pack comfortable walking shoes for excursions, layered clothing for changing weather, a light jacket or raincoat, and smart-casual attire for onboard dinners. Don’t forget travel adapters (Europe uses type C or F plugs), sunglasses, and a day bag for daily outings. If travelling in winter, bring warm clothes, gloves, and a hat—especially for Christmas market cruises.

The best months to cruise the Rhine River are May through September for warm weather and lush scenery. For a festive experience, consider late November to December when Christmas markets light up riverside towns with festive charm.
