Will I be travelling with women only?
Yes! Our women’s only tours are made for women and led by women. You will have a female Travel Director and Wellbeing Director with you at all times on your women’s only Trafalgar trip. Some trips will also have a female driver, except for destinations including Jordan, Turkey, and Morocco.
You’ll also be travelling with up to 50 other like-minded women, so whether you travel with old friends or do it solo, you’re sure to meet some amazing women and form new friendships.

How will Trafalgar’s women’s only tours support local women?
Most of our trips aim to visit and support local women-owned businesses and female artisans. You’ll have the chance to meet these inspiring women and celebrate their achievements.
Celebrate and support local women from Europe…
On our Italy Bellissimo trip, you’ll meet Marta Cucchia in the historic city of Perugia, where you’ll learn how she’s keeping the ancient tradition of Umbrian weaving alive. You’ll visit Laboratorio Giuditta Brozzetti, a TreadRight and JoinTrafalgar Heritage Initiative project, and see one of the last remaining traditional hand-weaving workshops in Italy.

When you travel on our Wonderful France trip, you’ll meet Poppy Salinger in her beautiful Provencal home for a special Make Travel Matter experience. Poppy will invite you into her historic converted mill on the banks of the Sorgue in France, where you can explore the old artefacts, photographs and artworks. You’ll then feast on delicious Provencal flavours such as mignon of pork, red snapper, and souffle, all washed down with a fine glass of Coteaux d’Aix red or rose wine. As you enjoy your meal, Poppy will regale you with stories of her famous husband, Pierre Salinger, former advisor to John F. Kennedy, and your visit will help preserve the memories of her family for generations to come.

… To Africa and the Middle East
When you travel on our Highlights of Turkey trip, you’ll visit the village of Demircidere for a special Be My Guest experience with the local women. You’ll learn how to bake traditional bread with them and hear the story of how they came to be known as the most liberated women in Turkey.

Our Jordan Experience trip takes you to Iraq-al-Amir in Jordan where you’ll meet the women of the Iraq al-Amir Women’s Association for an amazing Make Travel Matter experience. You’ll learn how they support themselves and the women in their community by making soap from olive oil, greeting cards and notebooks from recycled paper, and more. You’ll even get to try making your own before sitting down to a home-cooked lunch with the women.
