High in the mountains it feels like there is nothing more pure than Swiss air. Switzerland is more than just chocolate, watches and skiing. In the summertime you can ride the world’s steepest cog-wheel railway up Mount Pilatus. The little red train has been huffing and puffing up a 48% incline to the summit since 1889. It’s one of the best ways to take in the alpine meadows and striking rock formations.

The moment New Zealand reopens its borders to international travellers we suspect people will flock to its far flung islands in the Pacific.
