Fantastic journey thrugh the scenes of "The Outlander".
We initially made a deposit for this trip before COVID-19. Our tour occurred about two weeks after the UK and Ireland opened to vaccinated tourists and visitors from the United States. This was the very first time I had been out of the U. S. of A. where a passport was required. I had a great time. The people at all the locations and sights we visited were genuinely pleased to see us. The pace of the tour was fast. We were always on the go but we saw so many sights. My favorite stops were Edinburgh Castle, the ancient Monastic site at Glendalough, Ireland, the Roman baths and hot springs at Bath, a dinner and wine tasting at a small private winery in S/W England (who knew?), and of course Stonehenge!
Our UK and Ireland Highlights tour was great. Our tour director Simone was the best! What a great cultural and history ambassador. She also pointed out many little "treasures" along the way providing added historical commentary to a trip with great history. This coach tour checked off many must see sights in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, and Wales. This trip also whetted our tourist's appetite to return someday to see the sights, areas, and more "treasures" our tour didn't cover.

What is an Active Trip? This is an "Active" lifestyle itinerary, with walks and hikes most days. Hikes will range from easy/moderate to strenuous. No technical climbing skills are required but a reasonable level of fitness is required to make the trip more enjoyable. Everyone reacts differently to altitude and so if you do have any health issues you should check with your doctor that this trip is suitable for you.
