Myth 1: Travelling with Trafalgar is not good for people who like to be active
Fact: If you like to get active, whether it’s hiking, biking, or kayaking, we’ve got good news for you. All Trafalgar tours can be tailored based on your preferred activity levels and your Travel Director will even recommend activities based on your level of fitness.
We’re also launching our new Small Group Active Trips in the USA and Canada, which will have you exploring some spectacular national parks and zipping around in a slick Mercedes-Benz® sprinter van. You’ll spend your days hiking your heart out and your Travel Director will suggest different trails based on your fitness level.

Myth 2: You only do the super touristy experiences on Trafalgar trips
Fact: This is a huge misconception about Trafalgar trips! While we do love to see the icons of each destination we visit, we also offer rich, local experiences you wouldn’t do on your own. You’ll visit local communities and meet fascinating people, plus we offer our unique Be My Guest experiences where you share a meal in a local’s home and learn about their way of life. Myth 5: You spend your whole time on the coach when travelling with Trafalgar
Fact: You will spend some time on the coach as you move around between destinations, but it certainly won’t be the only thing you’re doing. We spend far more time on the ground getting immersed in the places we’re visiting. But when you are on the coach, it’s a great experience in itself! You’ll get to kick back in our custom, luxury vehicles with all the comforts you need for a great trip. Your time on the coach also gives you the chance to chat and bond with other travellers. You’ll hear fascinating stories from your Travel Director, and just spend some relaxing time watching the beautiful scenery roll by.

Myth 6: Trafalgar trips are not good for solo travellers
Fact: Our trips are perfect for solo travellers! We’ve recently introduced new and improved options for solo travellers. If you’re going solo, you’ll get reduced and free single supplements so you can enjoy the privacy of your own room – without forking out extra. We still also give you the option to share a twin room with another same-sex traveller, so you’ll save more money and maybe even make a lifelong friend in the process.
