For European holidays the check-in time is 2 hours before your flight, for Long Haul destinations you should allow 3 hours for check-in.

Travelling internationally, you'll require an active passport. Make sure you check the expiration of your passport. A lot of destinations will require a passport to be valid for six months following the date of departure. Ensure you follow the destinations guidelines before you book your flight.

If you can avoid travelling during peak times avoiding major holiday periods you're likely to get a better deal. Make sure you plan in advance.

Depending on your destination, and the demand for travel during your preferred travel date, the best flight deals can often be found two to eight months in advance, so ensure to start planning early.

For international flights you'll need a valid passport and passport details.

The cheapest time to book a flight depends on the type of travel and the departure date. For peak travel periods the best time to book is earlier than usual, such as for summer or the holiday season. For long-haul flights the best time to book is usually two to eight months before departure.

The best day to book a flight depends on a number of factors, including the airline, the destination, and when you're looking to travel.

There has been a lot of speculation about the best day and time to book, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays often said as the cheapest days to purchase a flight. However, flights are based on supply and demand, so it really depends when you're looking to travel and to which destination.
