The included itinerary is great and the optional activities were too. However, some of the days were impossibly long if you did everything. I would recommend spacing out the optional activities or, if not possible, informing guests the timing of the events. This way we know the long day(s) we have in store, like the days in Sevilla and Granada (8am to 10pm). The coach was perfect; no complaints. The hotels were mostly good with exception that they are far from the city center (exception Barcelona); requires taxis or metro to return to city if you wanted to explore more on your own. Hotel in Zamora was the least favorite for accommodations (and meal); however the hotel in Granada had the worst service.
Service with Trafalgar was overall pretty good. The travel director was sort of helpful but could have been a bit more attentive to guests needs. The coach driver was all-around amazing from driving, loading/unloading luggage, and keeping the coach clean. The local specialists were all great and knew their cities pretty well.
The Trafalgar team we had was just great. The people in the trip were friendly, helpful and great traveling on the trip . Everyone made the trip fun. Yes I would recommend this trip and suggest they get our Trafalgar team to guide them on the experience of Portugal and Spain.
I was interested in finding out about my Jewish ancestry and they were very helpful in pointing out info and areas of research. When it was time to leave, I was impressed with their procedures to make sure we took the test to enter back into the US. They ran the process smoothly and it was done in one afternoon.

No technical climbing skills are required but a reasonable level of fitness is required to make the trip more enjoyable. What to Pack Guests should bring lightweight hiking shoes or boots, broad brimmed sun hats, sunglasses, layered clothing, reusable water bottle(s), a hiking day pack and hiking poles (optional)
Weather & Altitude While the itinerary is laid out below, we are at the mercy of the weather and so reserve the right to adjust the program as necessary. Elevation ranges up to 9,000 feet for Utah’s Mighty Five and up to 11,000 feet for California High Country Adventure.
Everyone reacts differently to altitude and so if you do have any health issues you should check with your doctor that this trip is suitable for you.
