Customer experience is the standard of service you receive
I've travelled with Trafalgar before & will do so in the future. A little disappointed in the hotels, but based on our locations, perfectly understandable.
Seemed to be a very good value, but I have little to compare it to and must say the last hotel was very dated and the room carpet was filthy. So filthy that when I removed my socks and took a few steps into the shower, my feet left dirt marks in the shower when they got wet. Admittedly, there probably aren't many hotels to choose from in such a small town and this may have been the best.
We were very happy with the overall trip and the service provided while on the trip with one significant exception. All breakfasts were to be included, but vouchers were not provided for all locations and we were not told that a breakfast outside one hotel location at a separate restaurant was also included. We ended up paying for 5 breakfasts that should have been included and when we told the travel director she seemed shocked and asked for a receipt. I have almost $2,000 of receipts from the entire trip, but the Fred Harvey restaurant coincidentally had their charge card system go down, thus we paid about $75 cash and did not get a receipt. We only learned of the issue when another traveler told us and we quickly told the travel director who said she would contact corporate. She claimed corporate was not responding over the next 4 days and we are still waiting for any response at all. We have no apology or acknowledgment that they are checking into it. The simple solution is they should provide vouchers for all meals.

What is an Active Trip? This is an "Active" lifestyle itinerary, with walks and hikes most days. Hikes will range from easy/moderate to strenuous. No technical climbing skills are required but a reasonable level of fitness is required to make the trip more enjoyable. Understanding that not all people want to hike at the same pace or even on the same trail we will, where possible, host map orientation and then let everyone disperse to enjoy the trails best suited to them.
What to Pack Guests should bring lightweight hiking shoes or boots, broad brimmed sun hats, sunglasses, layered clothing, reusable water bottle(s), a hiking day pack and hiking poles (optional)
Weather & Altitude While the itinerary is laid out below, we are at the mercy of the weather and so reserve the right to adjust the program as necessary. Please keep in mind that the higher elevations and possible variations in weather and temperature can increase the perceived level of difficulty of our activities. Elevation ranges up to 9,000 feet for Utah’s Mighty Five and up to 11,000 feet for California High Country Adventure.
Everyone reacts differently to altitude and so if you do have any health issues you should check with your doctor that this trip is suitable for you.
