Exceptional service by tour director and driver

Amazing how much was seen and how much history, culture and gastronimc experience during this tour. Will definitely do another tou with Trafalgar.
Exceptional service that exceeded our expectations. The tour director was excellent, knowledgeable, friendly and patient addressing all our questions. Driver was great and friendly. Many thanks!
We saw a lot of great things, but the pace was so fast that there were things I didn't get to enjoy because we were moving on. It felt like we were ticking a box.
> Tour Director Giuseppe was fantastic, informative and Knowledgeable. 5* > Driver Antonio was also friendly cautious and a great skilled driver overall. 5* > Local guides at each venue were great and very informative. 5* > Hotels, Tiberio Rome 4* > Regina Cristina Capri 4* > Cenacolo Assisi 5* this is great hotel > Quattro Fontane Lido Venice 3* ( shower in the bath was awful could not get my head under the shower rose and could not lift it either ) > Minerva Montecatini 3* (a portion of the window frame protruded into the bath, which made things very uncomfortable ) have a picture but do not know how to include it. > Barcelo Aran Rome 5* this is a great hotel > Added hotel comments: showering in a bath can be dangerous for a 67 year old, especially when the is no rubber matt. with the soap it make the bath slippery. >The breakfasts wear all good. >The dinners included and the ones paid for as extras, not the best. It would seem as.... "catch the tourist". For what was paid for the extra nights out, was not good value for money spent. especially Burano. some of the group went out for a pizza when we got back to the hotel. and only the cheapest wine is served from a water jug, not impressive. > There was to much free time. this tour could have been 2 days shorter. it was as though Trafalgar was trying to stretch the tour for the extra cost. > Finally, my Wife and I would have rather paid a bit more and had a better class of accommodation, as pointed out with the * rating (this is not to be compared to general hotel ratings) this is Trafalgar's rating request. It is as though Trafalgar are looking for the some least busy hotels that have seen their best day and only survive by being used by the tour companies, who squeeze the lowest rate for volume of rooms taken. Failing which the hotels would close. Had My 5* hotels, indicated above, been the standard thought out I would have been very happy. Overall a good tour however there is room for improvement.

What is an Active Trip? This is an "Active" lifestyle itinerary, with walks and hikes most days. Hikes will range from easy/moderate to strenuous. No technical climbing skills are required but a reasonable level of fitness is required to make the trip more enjoyable. Understanding that not all people want to hike at the same pace or even on the same trail we will, where possible, host map orientation and then let everyone disperse to enjoy the trails best suited to them.
What to Pack Guests should bring lightweight hiking shoes or boots, broad brimmed sun hats, sunglasses, layered clothing, reusable water bottle(s), a hiking day pack and hiking poles (optional)
Weather & Altitude While the itinerary is laid out below, we are at the mercy of the weather and so reserve the right to adjust the program as necessary. Please keep in mind that the higher elevations and possible variations in weather and temperature can increase the perceived level of difficulty of our activities. Elevation ranges up to 9,000 feet for Utah’s Mighty Five and up to 11,000 feet for California High Country Adventure.
Everyone reacts differently to altitude and so if you do have any health issues you should check with your doctor that this trip is suitable for you.
