Water levels on portions of the Rhine and Danube are currently running lower than usual for this time of year. Our teams are monitoring conditions closely so that any itinerary adjustments, if needed, are made thoughtfully and with guests' best interests in mind.

Because river levels can shift quickly, sometimes within days, we build itinerary decisions around the most current data available, not forecasts made too far in advance. When a change is needed, our goal is always continuity of experience: alternate embarkation points, a different ship, a well-chosen hotel stay, or motorcoach transfers that keep the destinations at the heart of your journey.

Sailing in August: We're reviewing each August departure individually and shaping the strongest possible plan for every sailing affected by current conditions. Because rivers can change day to day, we're holding final details until we're confident they're accurate, rather than sharing information that might change. If your voyage needs adjusting, we'll reach out directly with confirmed plans, no need to call ahead. We know the wait can test your patience, and we appreciate it as we get this right.

Sailing in September or October: It's still early to assess conditions for these dates. We'll continue watching the rivers as your departure approaches and will be in touch with you or your travel advisor if anything changes.

We are deeply saddened by the situation currently unfolding in the Middle East. Our thoughts are with all those affected.

At Trafalgar, the wellbeing of our guests and team members is always our highest priority. We are closely monitoring developments and continue to assess the situation carefully, drawing on guidance from our local teams on the ground, as well as official government travel advisories.

Trafalgar does not operate tours in Israel, Iran, the UAE or Qatar. All tours to Jordan departing up to and including 31 May 2026 will be suspended. Any guests booked on the affected departures will be contacted by us directly in the next few days about their options for rescheduling or alternative travel destinations.

All other worldwide tours continue to operate as planned. If your tour departs on or before 31 May 2026 and your flights route through Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Doha and you would prefer to change your trip, please contact us to discuss the options available to you.
