How many national parks are in the USA?
There are currently 62 national parks in the USA. Of these parks, 14 are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and 21 are UNESCO Biosphere Reserves. The US National Park Service’s records have registered over 14 billion visits across the parks since 1904, with 318 million visits in 2018 alone. The most popular park is the Great Smoky Mountains with 11,421,200 visits.

Which national parks are free?
There are several entrance fee-free days to the US national parks, but you can also find some national parks that are free to enter all year round. These include the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and North Carolina, Cumberland Gap in Virginia, Channel Islands National Park in California, North Cascades National Park in Washington, and Biscayne National Park in Florida.
