excellent on all levels from the bus to hotel to the experiences that we were offered
This was a bucket list trip for me . I enjoyed every minute of the trip , meeting new people and visiting the military history . The trip was well planned to include great hotels , meals and activities. The tour director, driver and well being staff made us feel at home on the trip . I would definitely recommend this trip and intend on another location next year with Trafalgar .?
It was The personalised treatment by tour director ************ that set this trip apart from others. He went out of his way to ensure we saw and did everything on our lists. He was a great organiser for those participating in the add ons and those not. His presentations were easy to follow and of great interest. The tour group was great and an enjoyable bunch.
That Peter took us to 28 sites, even more than was outlined in the overview itinerary. We were blown away. If the itinerary were communicated, more people may be interested.
We had a trip of a lifetime, and credit our tour director, Peter Meehan for making it such a memorable experience for us and the other passengers on our tour. Peter went above and beyond, taking us to sites not listed on the itinerary to ensure we maximized our Battlefields Tour. Peter was extremely sensitive to significance of this adventure and helped us make the personal connections (i.e. finding the graves of lost family members and sites of significant importance), which made this trip so uniquely special. It was an experience to not only celebrate our own special milestones, but also to share with our travel mates, theirs. Remembrance Day this year and in future years, will hold even more special meaning as a result. This was our first Trafalgar experience and I will keep in touch with Peter and hopefully join him on future excursions.

Active Trip Details
Navigation Close Icon
What is an Active Trip? This is an "Active" lifestyle itinerary, with walks and hikes most days. Hikes will range from easy/moderate to strenuous. No technical climbing skills are required but a reasonable level of fitness is required to make the trip more enjoyable. Understanding that not all people want to hike at the same pace or even on the same trail we will, where possible, host map orientation and then let everyone disperse to enjoy the trails best suited to them.
What to Pack Guests should bring lightweight hiking shoes or boots, broad brimmed sun hats, sunglasses, layered clothing, reusable water bottle(s), a hiking day pack and hiking poles (optional)
Weather & Altitude While the itinerary is laid out below, we are at the mercy of the weather and so reserve the right to adjust the program as necessary. Please keep in mind that the higher elevations and possible variations in weather and temperature can increase the perceived level of difficulty of our activities. Elevation ranges up to 9,000 feet for Utah’s Mighty Five and up to 11,000 feet for California High Country Adventure.
Everyone reacts differently to altitude and so if you do have any health issues you should check with your doctor that this trip is suitable for you.
