When you book your flights with Trafalgar, you may be eligible for complimentary group airport transfers, or you can opt for private transfers at an additional cost.

Booking flights through Trafalgar? You may be eligible for free group transfers
When you book your flights with Trafalgar, we’ll take care of your group transfers between the airport and your ship or hotel, on the first and last day of your trip, so long as your flights match our transfer guidelines. There might be a wait of up to two hours for group transfers. If you want to skip the wait, you can choose a private car transfer for up to two guests (at an additional cost). If your flight falls outside our Transfer Guidelines, you’ll need to arrange your own transport. 

Planning Your Own Flights? We’ve Got Transfer Options 
If you're arranging your own flights, you can still purchase group or private transfers, just make sure to do so at least 45 days before you travel and check that your flight times meet our Transfer Guidelines below. If your flights fall outside these  Transfer Guidelines, you’ll need to arrange your own transfers. Please contact the Trafalgar team for pricing. Both group and private transfers may be purchased up to 45 days prior to departure. To confirm your transfers, flight information must be given to Trafalgar no later than 45 days prior to departure, and payment received.

Booked an optional trip extension? 
If you’ve added one of our optional extensions, transfers between the ship and your hotel are included in your package. Airport transfers are only included if you’ve booked your flights with Trafalgar.

Transfer guidelines

  • Complimentary Group Arrival Transfer for Best of the Rhine and Amsterdam: Flights must arrive within 6am–4pm
  • Complimentary Group Arrival Transfer for Best of the Danube: Flights must arrive within 6am–4pm
  • Complimentary Group Departure Transfer from Best of the Rhine and Amsterdam: Flights must depart within 6am–4pm
  • Complimentary Group Departure Transfer from Best of the Danube: Flights must depart within 6am–4pm

For group transfers, a wait time of up to two hours may apply.

If you purchase a transfer, please note it becomes non-refundable 29 days or less before your cruise or tour begins.

Missed your transfer? Here's what to know

Unfortunately, we’re not able to offer refunds for missed transfers due to flight delays, cancellations, or other disruptions. If you do miss your scheduled transfer, you’ll need to make your own way to the ship or hotel at your own expense. 

Check-in and check-out times

Standard check-in and check-out times apply, no matter your flight schedule or transfer arrangements. 

  • Arrivals: On embarkation day, your stateroom will be ready after 3:00 PM. If you arrive earlier, you're welcome to relax in the ship’s public areas. If your journey begins at a hotel, your room will be ready after the hotel’s standard check-in time. Please note, early check-ins can’t be arranged by Trafalgar. 
  • Departures: On disembarkation day, staterooms must be vacated by 8:00 AM. If your flight is later, you’re welcome to wait in the public areas until 1:00 PM or later, depending on the sailing schedule. For hotel stays at the end of your trip, rooms must be vacated by the hotel’s standard check-out time. Please note, late check-outs cannot be requested through Trafalgar.

Enjoy complimentary transfers on the first and last days of your tour when you book flights with Trafalgar and flight times coincide with our transfer guidelines.  

If you’re arranging your own flights, you can choose to purchase a group or private transfer through Trafalgar. To book your transfer(s), just contact us and provide your flight information and make payment no less than 45 days before your departure.
