St Petersburg is a city not just of magnificent palaces, baroque and neoclassical architecture and mirror-like canals, but of ideas too. Petersburgers started the Russian Revolution, which introduced the world to communism. And when the tide started to turn, this was the city to encourage democracy. We’ll show you the sights, including the Tsar's Winter Palace, Nevsky Prospekt, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Statue of Peter the Great, and the Peter and Paul Fortress. We'll also take you on a special guided tour of the Hermitage Museum, home to one of the world's most valuable art collections. Russia is of course famous for the arts, and dance in particular. At the city's Theatre of Youth, you'll receive a special welcome from the director before watching the performance on stage, touring the building, and finally having the chance to meet the dancers over canapés and drinks.
