I would not go on the ghost tour in York! Waste of money!
The tour guide, bus driver and specialist on board, where phenomenal! Getting to our hotel, was not very good. They took us the wrong one, which happened to be closed for over a year! We had to tell the driver where to go and he was not happy that this happened! AND, we with two other couples and we all had separate transportation, to the same place. They were also taken the the wrong hotel.
Itinerary was good but little less Ireland and little more Scotland. Didn't see enough of Scotland, given it's size. The coach was comfortable and clean and very easy to spot at pick-up locations. Accommodations were good with the exception of the Mercure Stratford. It may appear quaint, but I found it to be inadequate. Uneven, creaky floors and the hotel needed updating.
Excellent tour guide, drivers and a Wellness Being Director who was always keeping our hands clean. Beautiful sites. A lot history which is what I like to see. Very knowledgeable. Able to assist with guests with almost any issue and on a moment's notice. Our tour guide was able to rearrange our departure from the hotel to Heathrow. He also quickly changed the college tour at Oxford University when the original choice was closed. Overall, I was impressed.
