A land where the sun doesn't always set, lights dance in the north sky for six months a year, and where a spectacular geological phenomenon created magnificent fjords. Norway’s beauty could rival anywhere on earth.

Discover Norway on our award-winning tours

From warring invaders to warm invitations

Learn the stories of both past and present-day Norway. Join us on a visit to the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo, where you can admire the awe-inspiring vessels of more than a millennium ago. These ships are nearly 25 metres long, built for trade, religious purposes and, of course, war. And spend time on a farm in Bergen, where you’ll be greeted by the owners and introduced to the animals. Learn how farming has evolved since the time the farmstead was established by the Vikings. And enjoy a traditional meal of sour cream porridge, salty dried pork and lamb.

Oslo sits between the forest and lakes of Nordmarka and the Oslofjord, and is Norway’s capital city and commercial center. Visit the Fortress at Akerhus, which is an integral part of the city's identity. Built 700 years ago, the fort has seen many kings and governments come and go over the centuries. Move onto the official residence of the Norwegian monarch, the Royal Palace, where you can watch the Changing of the Guard. Admire and get close to more than 200 bronze, cast iron and granite sculptures at a park designed by the sculptor himself, Gustav Vigeland, at the turn of the last century.
