What to pack for a tour in Norway

Norway is part of the Schengen Area, so travelers from the EU, UK, US, Canada, and Australia can visit visa-free for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Other nationalities should check visa requirements with the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration.
Norway's best season depends on your plans. Summer (June to August) brings long daylight hours, mild temperatures, and stunning fjord cruises. Winter (December to March) is ideal for seeing the Northern Lights, dog sledding, and skiing. Spring and autumn offer fewer crowds, colorful landscapes, and perfect hiking conditions to go and see Norway's wonders, including some of tallest waterfalls in the world.
Norway has a varied climate depending on where you are in the country.
