As the world leader in travel experiences since 1947, we connect you to the real Romania in a way like no other. One of the largest countries in Eastern Europe, Romania is a magical land of mountains, marshes and medieval history. The forested Carpathian Mountains stretch through the centre of the country, with meadowed valleys and woodlands filled with wildlife. Romania is home to the rare European bison and Europe’s largest population of brown bears, while scores of deer and elk roam free. In the south you’ll find the dreamy Danube, which turns into a wetland haven of birds and fish before spilling into the Black Sea, fringed with powdery white beaches. The striking landscapes are strewn with ancient monasteries, fairy-tale castles and Transylvanian villages that take you back to the Middle Ages. Our Romania tours will take you from the romantic Belle-Époque streets of Bucharest to the looming Bran Castle in Braşov and deep into the mountains to explore the enchanting town of Sinaia. Travel with us and unlock the infinite possibilities thanks to our exclusive Trafalgar Highlights.
