As the world leader in travel experiences since 1947, we connect you to the real Jordan in a way like no other. From ancient cities and biblical landmarks, to the coral reefs of the Red Sea, Jordan is one of the most captivating countries in the Middle East. It’s home to thousands of archaeological sites including Crusade-era castles, the Roman theatre in Amman, and the rose-red city of Petra, carved from sandstone cliffs over 2,000 years ago. Our Jordan holidays take you on a cultural pilgrimage to Mount Nebo where Moses died, the Jordan River where Jesus was baptised, and the Old City of Jerusalem. We’ll float in the salty waters of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, and explore the colour-shifting sands of Wadi Rum, where Bedouins retain their traditions in the desert. Despite Jordan’s momentous history, it’s one of the most modern countries in the Middle East, and you’ll be warmly welcomed by the locals with the phrase “Ahlan wa sahlan” - you have arrived among family. Travel with us and unlock the infinite possibilities thanks to our exclusive Trafalgar Highlights.

"Jordan has a long-standing tradition of hospitality and you'll be warmly welcomed to discover a land of ancient cities and stunning desert landscapes"
In Jordan, the standard voltage is 230 V and the power plugs and sockets are of type C, D, F, G and J. The standard frequency is 50 Hz.
You’ll spend hours exploring the countries sights - a visit to Petra alone can involve a day’s worth of walking - so bring a sturdy pair of walking shoes.
When visiting Jordan, you’ll need to wear modest clothing that covers your shoulders and knees. Bring light, loose-fit clothing for the heat and warm layers for chilly desert nights.
A scarf is a handy item for keeping the sun and sand off your face, and for covering your head or shoulders when entering religious sites.
Whether you’re floating in the Dead Sea, or snorkelling the coral reefs of the Red Sea, you’ll want to pack a swimsuit for your Jordan holiday.
Depending on your nationality, you'll need a valid passport and may also need visas to enter. Please check this well in advance of your trip departure date here. Some countries also require passports to have 3-6 months left on them before the given expiry date, so be sure to double check this before booking your travels.
