I enjoyed the trip and it had all the highlights I was looking for. I think some of the elective options should just be included in the regular tour (charging for them of course just including them) Who would go to Florence and not want to see David or the Vatican in Rome. It seemed odd to me those where optional as they are the main reasons people go to those locations. Same thing with the gondola ride in Venice just include it as part of the regular package. It would make more sense to pay more and know those things are included as opposed to making them optional. Sometimes it felt like being nickeled and dimed.
The local guides were all great, the drivers were excellent and our main tour guide was also knowledgeable and good. The restaurant choices were good and gave a good cultural feel to the locations. Some of the hotels had great locations (london, lucerne) others felt out of the main thrust (Paris was a nice hotel though)and the Rome hotel has sort of seen its day as has the neighborhood
Great trip! Everything was well coordinated and our tour director and driver were very nice and knowledgeable. I would definitely travel with Trafalgar again! Highly recommend.

Was a incredible Journey!!!! It is breathtaking and most of all unforgettable experience your selfs all kind of incredible and breathtaking countrys!!!
Our trafalgar trip exceeded our expectations. We have never traveled to Europe nor had we traveled as a tour group. Booking a tour made the trip more fun and stress free. One piece of advice for future travelers would be to plan ahead for the optional tour experiences. We chose to do all of them and thought all of them were worth the extra money. Had we not done the optionals we would have felt left out from the group and would absolutely have missed out on some of the best nights of the tour.
The itinerary, coach and hotels were perfect. The itinerary was busy but there is no way a person could see all the attractions on their own in the same time frame. The coach was always clean the driver was very nice. The hotels were well located and very nice.
Pros and Cons - Pros- The tour was wonderful, very busy and you need to be prepared to walk a lot and be able to climb several flights of stairs. This is the perfect tour to have a taste of many different cultures and early entrance to local attractions in a fast pace. The tour director was very knowledgeable and patient. Tuscany dinner was wonderful along with the train ride in Lucerne to the alps. A true trip of a lifetime. Cons -The bathrooms in Rome restaurant welcome dinner were disgusting however the pizza was delicious. The first nights restaurant in France service was horrible. Twice on the tour I inquired from our tour director about the local markets and was told they were closed. I believed it in Rome and did not venture to the market place however in London we did go to the closed market place that turned out to be opened. PS If you are traveling on a tour take time to read the itinerary and know what you will do in your free time.

What is an Active Trip? This is an "Active" lifestyle itinerary, with walks and hikes most days. Hikes will range from easy/moderate to strenuous. No technical climbing skills are required but a reasonable level of fitness is required to make the trip more enjoyable. Understanding that not all people want to hike at the same pace or even on the same trail we will, where possible, host map orientation and then let everyone disperse to enjoy the trails best suited to them.
What to Pack Guests should bring lightweight hiking shoes or boots, broad brimmed sun hats, sunglasses, layered clothing, reusable water bottle(s), a hiking day pack and hiking poles (optional) Weather & Altitude While the itinerary is laid out below, we are at the mercy of the weather and so reserve the right to adjust the program as necessary. Please keep in mind that the higher elevations and possible variations in weather and temperature can increase the perceived level of difficulty of our activities. Elevation ranges up to 9,000 feet for Utah’s Mighty Five and up to 11,000 feet for California High Country Adventure.
Everyone reacts differently to altitude and so if you do have any health issues you should check with your doctor that this trip is suitable for you.
