      Your trek through America's fascinating frontier history takes families through the Sonoran Desert. Stampede through the luminous orange and red landscapes of Sedona for your choice sightseeing, traversing Red Rock Country by jeep or Red Rock Magic Trolley. Then on through Oak Creek Canyon to the historic railroad town of Williams, to enjoy a slap-up Be My Guest dinner hosted by the mayor, John Moore.

Hundreds of miles of rusty red stone layers carved deep within the earth's crust by the Colorado River flow along the full extent of the Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. In an open-air vehicle, bounce along the imposing mesas and buttes rising up between the big blue Utah sky and expansive red floor of Monument Valley, once favoured by movie director John Ford as the movie home of the Wild West, toward a lakeside resort tucked into the red rock at the scenic family holiday hotspot of Lake Powell.

      Today belongs to the 21st century and is yours to roam the range with your kin, but if you're at a loose end, choose to take an optional float down the Colorado River, cruise on Lake Power to Antelope Canyon, or spend the day learning how to wakeboard, kayak or zip around Lake Powell on a ski tube.* Even cowboys need a day off now and then.

      This float trip lets you enjoy all the sights and stops of Glen Canyon in a convenient half-day format. It starts with a two-mile tunnel drive (and dinosaur tracks!) before you board your river craft. It continues to Petroglyph Beach and its fascinating artifacts. You’ll look up in awe at the soaring cliffs above Horseshoe Bend as you learn the stories of the ancestral Puebloan people who lived here. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a stunning motor-coach ride back from Lees Ferry to Page, passing Vermillion Cliffs, beautiful orchards, and historic structures along the way. Approx. duration: 3.5 hours

      With a shoreline longer than the entire west coast of the United States, Lake Powell is the second largest man-made lake in the country and one of the top destinations for sightseeing cruises. Be sure to bring your camera on this scenic 90-minute cruise through the Canyons. View towering Navajo Sandstone geologic formations with stunning red and burnt orange rocks, sandy beaches, and sapphire blue waters. Learn about the famous slot canyons and sculpted cracks in the sandstone that are often less than 10 feet wide but can be several hundred feet deep. A photo stop will also be made at the crest of the Glen Canyon Dam, the second largest concrete arch dam in the United States which is more than 600 feet above the Colorado River.
